Step One
Read our Code of Practice and be a Unitarian Universalist
In order to be a member of our organization you must agree to practice in accordance with our
Code of Practice. There are no exceptions.
Also, you must also be a member in good standing of a Unitarian Universalist congregation, covenanted community, or other UU professional organization.
If there is no Unitarian Universalist congregation near you or if you simply prefer, you may join the online congregation of our denomination,
The Church of the Larger Fellowship.
We ask for two references. One may be the personal or professional reference of your choice, ideally a UU, who is very familiar with you and your ministry (or your goals for ministry). The second one must be your UU parish or congregational minister. If you have no parish minister (for example, your congregation is lay-led), please contact us and explain your situation. We also ask that you submit copies of your credentials for your ministry: Theological Degrees, College Degrees, CPE, Spiritual Director Certificates, State Licenses, or any other credentials you use in your community ministry.
